  IMPACT OF GMOS ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND THEIR ETHICAL CONCERNS -  November 12, 2022 Some GMO ethical considerations are related to the right to adequate food, which emerges from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The right of every individual to adequate food was underlined in the 1996 World Food Summit in the Rome Declaration on World Food Security and the World Food Summit Plan of Action. Both the UN Commission on Human Rights and the UN Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights have addressed the right to food in the aftermath of the World Food Summit. The studies of GMOs in this study, in particular, are thought to be particularly pertinent to the following quotations about the right to adequate food. The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights considers that the core content of the right to adequate food implies: "The availability of food in a quantity and quality sufficient to satisfy the dietary needs of individuals, free from adverse substances,...
